The Bärenkopplauf is THE mountain/trail run in the Rhein-Westerwald Nature Park on the "WällerTour Bärenkopp," covering 11 km with +360/-260 meters of elevation gain, taking place on Friday, August 2, starting at 6:00 PM. The event attracts over 200 participants who aim to reach the finish line on Klosterberg. The challenging course is completed in performance-based wave starts, with 20 runners being sent off every minute from the Waldbreitbach School and Sports Center. New this year is the "Bärchenlauf" for children aged four to eleven, which takes place on shorter distances around the monastery grounds.
